Fact Corrections from George:

Acts 13:1 says that Simeon was “called” Niger, NOT he was “from” Niger. Still, in the Greek-English Lexicon this name Niger means that he was of dark complexion.

Acts 11:26 is when believers were first given the name “Christians,” (NOT in chapter 13).

This episode Leah and Andrew interview George Moore about the history of black saints in the church. Despite the notion that Christianity is a white man's religion, we learn the rich history and contributions of black saints throughout history. We talk about Felicitas, Perpetua, Tertullian, Augustine, and more.

George serves as Research Assistant for the Jude 3 Project. He is from Memphis, TN and is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to his wife, Ashley, and they recently welcomed their first child.

The segments feature a debate on how to pronounce “gif” as well as sharing all about the new voiceover on the podcast. If you want to hire Scott for your voice over work, connect with him on LinkedIn.
